Unlike most Power Tool companies we don’t care whether you own a reconised brand such as AEG, Black & Decker, Bosch, Makita , Ryobi, Hitachi ,Dewalt or a retail brand such as Performance Power, JCB, MacAllister, Erbauer, Worx or Powerbase.

Power Tool repairs are carried out at our site in Southampton, Hampshire in our own work shop by a Power Tool repair engineer with over 25 years experience. Shop sold brands from B&Q, Homebase, Argos, Screw fix, Aldi, Wicks, Tesco and The Depot are all looked at in the same way as Black & Decker, Dewalt, Makita, Bosch, Elu, Ryobi, Hitachi, AEG, and Hilti. Solent Tools repair vacuum cleaners, electric motors, lawn mowers, hedge cutters, lawn rakers, shredders, and basically anything else that is motor driven. We offer a full pat testing service both in house and on site.

Even in these days of cheap Power Tools it is still worth keeping a familiar machine. Plus when you include the time and travelling costs to find a replacement machine a repair can still make sense.

Last year Solent Tools saved over 4000 machines going to land fill. Being green can be as simple as a pair of Carbon Brushes, a new bearing or a simple repair.

If your machine is beyond repair we can still help just give us a phone on 023 8057 8057 and if we can use your machine for spares we will collect it for free. All the spares we can obtain from your machine will be used to supply donor spare parts to fix other machines. Power Tool repairs to any brand. For only £7.50 we can pick up your power tool from your door and give a free quote for repair. If it’s not worth repairing then if we can have the spares then you pay nothing.

Green taxes set by the government cost us all more money. In the real world the only way to save land fill is to stop throwing away. Solent tools believe that all spare parts and labour should be VAT free. As most tools are imported then the more power tools repaired equals more British labour employed. Cordless battery costs are being inflated by ridiculous green import duties. Instead of throwing away a battery the UK consumer has to throw away the entire machine due to cost. If we start repairing and servicing again then we can move back to the green society we all enjoyed.
